Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Lulu is thinking about being a lap chicken. But she isn’t one to sit still so I doubt she will.
When I take pictures of her they always look like she is monochrome. But in reality she is all sorts of different shades and her under wings are darker as is her tail, and some feathers have dark and light.
I tried to get some shots but it is hard to capture.

Alex, they are in separate tribes but Blackie wants Viejito's hens. So now I have 2 sets of roosters who can't free range together.

She is gorgeous. I have the same issue when photographing Hattie. The variations in color are washed out somehow by the camera. It's very frustrating.

I won’t be wearing any lace up shoes anymore near Jaffar. We have a mutual respect agreement. He does his thing, and I will do mine. But I’m still looking for his copilot equipment so he can fly with me! I’m going over the weekend.

My Roos didn’t get along together, and pangoo over bred my silkies, and would beat up Henny Penny as she hated him.

Hopefully Mr Pompei will be better with the wee ones - he is all feathers and no weight at all!!

Well it happened, wee Marty tried to get down from the window this morning, she made it to the high roost, then she leapt into the wide open space aiming for the next lower roost and plop (more like splat) missed it - not even close!

And you know me - big freak out! But she took off out the doorway to go eat and dig in fresh horse poop so guess she is ok

So no more roosting up high for her. And she is hating me picking her up as she is all Pin feathers with molting….

I have moved my temporary mesh fencing so that I can put Mr Pompei outside tonight - there will be a 10’ gap between his little paddock and the gals new run. Look but not touch, no lice will be able to traverse 10’ I hope

Will get pics tonight, hope it goes ok - I am the worst worry wort.

That sucks! That’s why I only have one rooster. But I love all roosters
