Lulu is thinking about being a lap chicken. But she isn’t one to sit still so I doubt she will.
When I take pictures of her they always look like she is monochrome. But in reality she is all sorts of different shades and her under wings are darker as is her tail, and some feathers have dark and light.
I tried to get some shots but it is hard to capture.

I love her little topknot very cute

A little drama Wednesday evening. When Lety went to put the chickens inside for the evening she found 2 roosters going at it. Blackie and Viejito. Blackie had chased Viejito into his coop and forced him into a fight. Viejito doesn't like to fight but he is strong for a silkie and put a beating on Blackie. Lety carried Blackie in to our bathroom and we cleaned him up. I mixed up some baby aspirin and electrolytes with water and forced some in him by syringe. He perked up so we put him outside and treated Viajito who only had small scratches and the blood on him was from Blackie. Moral of the story is don't mess with the old man. Lol

Holy Moly those silkies are tough little suckers!!!

Poor Blackie, maybe he learnt his lesson…..?

Jaffar is out with his lady friends now. I’m feeling some separation anxiety but Jaffar can’t help me with this paperwork, or flight plans! and darn it, he was born with wings and I wasn’t! Life’s just not fair!

Bet you fly better than he does though!

Rooster fights must be something to see. I'm not certain I ever have. I have seen hen fights and they can be quite mean.

Same thing, only the Roos don’t seem to back down!

Lea was a french rock hit in 1997.
It's hard to translate the songs as it's based on puns, but it lists a whole number of things Lea is NOT.

I love the idea of giving grand mother's names to hens! Unfortunately my own grandmas and grandpas had the ugliest old french names ever .

You may think they would be ugly but I bet would think they are exotic
