Dotty
I am at a bit of a loss. She is no better, but also no worse. She spent the day in the shade, isolating herself from everyone else. I saw her drink but I don't think she ate much.
I have brought her in for an hour or two as it is very hot and she clearly suffers more in the heat. As I brought her in I did another look over. No egg on external examination - I can repeat the internal exam a bit later when she is cooler - but I honestly don't think there is an egg there.
So, I am left with a mystery:
- The diarrhea could be coccidia that for some reason wasn't resolved by the recent amprolium treatment. I could direct dose her amprolium or get an alternative
- The above logic could also apply to roundworm - she was direct dose treated but maybe it didn't resolve the issue and with the heat her defenses are down
- I could assume she is the producer of the lash egg and give her antibiotics - but there is no evidence she went into that box
I could go another day of watching and waiting. I am quite worried about her - her comb is very pale and she is clearly feeling miserable (made worse by the heat).
I really dunno what to do.

This is exciting. It will be nice to see him outside. Remember.......HE CAN FLY REALLY WELL.
Ok so I put Mr Pompei out in his little private paddock and he paced around a bit then settled under the pear tree until the sun moved around a bit so the side of his yard facing the gals was in shade. And he has been hanging out there happy to watch them .

The girls generally ignore him - poor Pom Pom!
