@featherhead007 I am reading all of your posts .....and want to grab your shoulders and SHAKE YOU! (but also give you a hug)

You can't look at the past...hindsight is always 20/20. You have done the best you could/can at each point in your life, given where you were and what you were capable of at the time. (emotionally, mentally, physically, etc) We all, hopefully, grow and change as we gain life experiences, wisdom, and personal strength.

You need to look forward. What do YOU want out of life? Where do you see yourself going from here? And I don't mean 'to have more wealth than my brother'. That says nothing about what would make you happy or bring you comfort/joy. Because comfort, happiness, is NEVER about what other people have. It is about what you truly want for yourself in your heart. Simple things - friends, to garden, chickens, maybe to believe in God, whatever. You need to take some time to do some real soul searching, and think about what makes you happy/content. Focus on those things in your life. You are a good, kind man. It is time you really paid attention to ALEX. The heck with what the rest of the world has or wants - it should now be about what Alex really, deep down, wants. ♥️ :hugs :hugs :hugs ♥️ :hugs

Okay, I need to leave now; need to spend the next hour getting pictures to pay my taxes for this post.
:goodpost: :love

Well put!

And Alex owes some pics also, jaffar, some barred rocks and wattles, and any other of the chickies ❤️

Yes, actually there is one the Sage Eggers can have poofs or crests on their heads. Ill note your guess on my names list!

They are adorable, thank you! They already have me wrapped around their tiny little beaks. Whatever breed they end up being is just fine by me.
There is something you should know about chickens….

That are time thieves!!!!

Take me for instance, one day I went to the barn to muck stalls, 8 am, next thing I know its 1:30pm, the stalls hadn’t been cleaned and I still needed to go to the feed mill they close at 2 on Saturdays!!! What was I doin you ask? Well I checked the horses, brushed them a bit, then checked the chickies, played around with them, checked in here, played with the horses some more, and the chickies… hahahaha a productive day tinkering and getting nothing done!

Time thieves! You are warned!

I did indeed get them from Alchemist Farms. Oh yay I was hoping I got a Maran and I am thrilled about the Moss Eggers.

I know the chipmunks omg I watched their video about 5 times on how to tell them apart but Ill be darned if I can manage to tell with any certainty.

I will jot down all you have identified. Thank you so very much! It is very kind of you to take the time to do so.
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love my Black Copper Marans. The hens are very sweet and friendly. My boys while big are sweet loveable giants, and just gorgeous with their coloring. I have both varieties, the French which have feathered legs and lay my darker solid colored eggs. I also have the English clean legged variety who lay dark speckled eggs, which I may prefer. Egg color that is, give me the feathered legs any day. I also have several various Marans mixes, some with clean legs and some with feathered legs but all have inherited the loveable Marans personality.

Trust me, owning my portfolio of properties, doesn’t make me happy. But one little kiss from my chickens means everything to me! (I avoid kisses from Chaco, her tongue is too sloppy wet ) but she’s a horse so……

And one day, if I am a very good girl, I will have a clean-legged Marans lady in my flock.
Rebecca and I disagree on the subject of feathered feet but not on the stunning beauty of the breed!
