Based upon where he came from and the condition he was in, you have a lot of work ahead of you taming him. I'm certain you can do it but it will take effort. The good news is he won't run away from his hens once they are his. That should help in collecting him.Ya it was my.original plan when I had a lot of horses here.
I keep some animal crates handy for the chickies now, and o have a tonneau cover on the truck, horses I can lead one the other three should follow.
It's one of the reasons I like my chickens friendly, if there is a need to get them collected quickly I don't want to be chasing them around. Mr Pompeii is very wild! I thought it was because he is new here but then I remembered my cousin's hens when they first arrived last year. They were very tame and quiet, I could pick them up no problem, and I was a stranger to them
I sure hope I can at least get Pompeii quiet enough to walk up and pick him up like I could Pangoo. Or I might need a fishing net, someone suggested here.
