I'm so glad you were there to help her. How much longer are these boys going to be this crazy? My gosh the poor hens. You need Ned to come over and slap them around!

He needs to slap Cheetah, too. Hector is showing signs of being protective but until he can stand up to cheetah, it's all up in the air. Cheetah needs to be more authoritative with the brats

Even raised by people from before eyes open, they don't domesticated well. Their mischievous nature gets them on trouble
I read a study on that (of course I did!) from Russia I believe. Let me see if I can find it.
Well what do you know - popped right up - basically they did manage to domesticate some foxes in Siberia but they became unlike other foxes physically (eg spotted fur).
It is a weird experiment. And if it takes 60 years to breed a fox that will come and say hi then I will stick to cats! They also don’t come and say hi!

Now it's my turn. Lower than chickens in the food chain......
  • Insects
  • Mice
  • Worms
  • Chipmunks
  • Snakes
  • Plants
  • Frogs
  • Other small rodents, moles, voles, etc.
  • Squirrels*
  • Ducks*
*My ladies have attacked both Squirrels and Ducks.

I'm certain there are others I am missing. Please join in everyone. 😁
My crew would like to add Minnows and Crawdads or Crayfish to that list. If they can ever catch one, one day they will also add Blue Jays.

I don't think the Princesses enjoyed it half as much - though Diana, who is the last to run up to the hen house - seemed to be in no particular hurry. She was one of the main supervisors of the Chicken Palace building, so maybe she knew that it was nice and secure.
