Mystery Chickie,as she grew up. (I think I'll just call her Misty ...what do you all think??) She laid her first egg yesterday, a pretty pale olive green She told me she misses typing on the computer...and trying to reach Lulu. she says to say hi to Lulu's mom and sends a big hug to her.

I like the name, I would spell it Mysty then as a reference to her mysteriousness.

Moan coming up...
I've had a few run ins with my nearest neighbour, for many months I have been unable to sleep because he has taken up the soundproofing off his living room and bedroom floors taking away all privacy or quiet. Hence no sleep for me during late nights and early mornings. This on top of wrecking my bin area plus relentlessly leaving dirt and rubbish for me too clean up after him in our shared area.

Now I love almost all animals and have rescued countless during my lifetime but this morning I had a bit of a shock too find that my messy uncaring neighbour had a taste of his own medicine because this is what I witnessed on his collection bin as I was leaving for the shops this morning  tell me about kalmar

Plenty of room here. Even room for your birds. I have two lousy neighbors, but they are easily handled. Come on over, and have some true American foods too!
Pizza, ramen noodles, sushi, spaghetti, yep. All that fine American cuisine. :gig

I cannot sneeze or cough in Mr Marans pen. It’s The only thing that causes him to lose his little rooster mind and attack me, well that and if he could get a shot in at the angle grinder of doom he might take it, but would more likely just herd his ladies far away and “guard” against the evil tool. 😂
My DH sneezing (it is kinds loud) sends all the Buckeyes running for cover. They hear it as a warning call.

I'm sorry. This is a sore spot between laboratorians and epidemiologists/physicians. It gets under my skin. (Me being a laboratorian)

Can you tell the sun is finally out. New pictures of everyone coming!
I’m a pedestrian at times. Can I argue any points? :gig

I think this maybe 🤔 a 🐕 protest on my behalf. Who said dogs don't defend those that love them

I have a ‘do’ at my place on Saturday. About 50 people.
Today I find:
- Wasp nest underneath the deck where we will serve food. No way to get spray there. Going to try Sevin powder. I hate to do it but there won’t be many other beneficial insects in that corner. Anyone know if it is toxic to chickens?
- Another wasp nest right above the door in to the kitchen. Not a big deal for me but there are hundreds of them buzzing around the door so I know people will freak out.
- An abandoned bird’s nest above the grill. No big deal and now dealt with but wow what an industrious bird - they had collected ‘stuff’ from everywhere for that nest!
- Last but not least a huge mouse nest inside the grill. This is disgusting! I have already fed three baby mice to Maggie and have cleared most of the nest out. I think I will burn the rest off.

Ugh - I really feel inundated with pests!

If we're to believe the CDC, they said August of 2020 that the cloth masks don't help against wildfire smoke. That's what I'm stuck with as the commercially made masks use textiles I'm allergic to.
How awful.
Does a wet cloth work? Aren’t you supposed to cover your head in a wet towluif you are in a house fire.
