Sunday (yesterday) I attended a church in town. The pastor made an offensive joke about my hair loss. (I’m thinner on top, so what,) but is it right for the pastor to make jokes about my personal looks?
What are your opinions?
Jokes like that are only reserved for a close family member or kindred spirit friend who knows you and knows if you are receptive to those sort of shenanigans.

People in rolls of influence or power must never make comments as such in public. First off it very uncouth, and second if he is a close friend/family they would know that one wouldn’t want such comments made to the general public.

Well Alex if you’re stressing about this I suggest you have a candid conversation with this person.

More importantly I would not take any heed of this person - you don’t need to associate with him if he makes you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Plenty of fish in the sea!

what I plan to do, is confront this pastor, and privately ask him why he has said such things. And that I didn’t think it was right for him to be joking around like that. His answer will be the deciding factor if I ever attend there again. (Note: I help with the food drive, community functions through that church too) this situation is sad, but important!

Thanks, she is a real character! I have given the birds access to my garden, except for the Swiss Chard bed which I tried to block off unsuccessfully. Rosa knows that I don't want her in there, so she jumps up into the raised bed when I am not watching and gobbles as much as she can! When I notice and call her name "Roooossssaaa!" she gives me a mischievous look and hops down... until the next time that I am not looking! :barnie

It got down to -4C last night, so I think I will just give them access to the whole thing now. Rosa will be pleased.
Pear does the same thing re: Castor's food dish. With the "I wasn't interested in that...I'm straightening my feathers and eating grass and bugs."
