Personally, I think it smells like marmite gone off 😂. Maybe the oil you used was diluted ?
Just read that you also had trouble with cabbages : what worked for me was switching them to a shadier location and seeding / planting later so that they don't spend too much time in blazing summer heat.

I'm still not sure she will turn out to be a healthy hen, which is what I really hope for her. I should be fixed in a week or two regarding her eventual gender change 🙄.

Chipie is our tiniest chicken, even piou-piou is slightly bigger now.
And I'm very reassured that no one will want to have Gaston for dinner : he's now 16 weeks old, which I think is the right age to process a cockerel, and he's almost only huge yellow legs 😂. Even to make bone broth they don't look appetizing!
My neem oil was diluted for the spraying job. Thanks on the tip for cabbage. I will try it for fall gardening.

I cannot believe Chipie is smaller than Piou-piou.

Everything was closed here. No Chinese take out or otherwise for months.
Many small business destroyed while big corporations made way too much money. Sweden has proven to the world that lockdown was a bad idea. To this day, the Chinese people are still living in fear, not because of the covid virus, but because of the random lockdown government throws at them anytime, for arbitrary length. The lockdown in China is a real lockdown as you are literally house jailed. You will get some bare minimum grocery delivered if you are lucky.

Even if you are not in lockdown, every citizen needs to have a covid app. The app has to show a green code in order for you to go anywhere (say a grocery store). It is very easy for the green code to disappear. For example, some places you have to have covid PCR test every other day. If you don't renew the test, it will automatically go orange.

It is a 1984 dystopia.

Sorry. I could go on and on ... It is very devastating to me.

Maybe everyone should take a mark on their right hand or forehead, so that it reads “I’m healthy “ and by such, can be part of society and buy and sell? . I’m kidding kinda, they are already institutionalizing that!

Heart was for your beautiful hen, not for Covid nor idiot gov. Actually, lock-downs do have a few specific valid uses. For example (if only people would adhere to it) it is legitimate to do this short term to keep something contained until adequate supplies (think medical - both equipment and protective gear) can be made/mobilized. That said, any long-term lock down is pointless in this day and age because all it takes is a few people who are carriers to break lock down and it is no longer contained. Especially a global society that we have become. Plus, frequently, the virus is ahead of us in terms of containment (i.e. symptoms don't show until that person is not only infected, but contagious)

Covid containment & closures Tax:

A Roo mug, just because I can ❤️

@featherhead007 This one is for you: a 'fake' and a 'real' BR:gig
I just broke the one on the right...she was the one who kept breaking eggs ( probably my older girl's eggs whose shells are thinner), but wouldn't relocate. Was hoping she would stop on her own...but no... almost 4 weeks, I had to...brought her into the house in a crate for 2 nights.:( I hated to have to do it, but she wasn't eating enough. I promised her I would let her hatch next year if she would agree to set in a less public nest. She did reply ( a soft buk, buk buk) I'm hoping she understood🤷‍♀️😔'
