Dear Foxy,

I spoke with Phyllis this morning regarding your request for advice. She said Miranda Kerr put it best when she said,

“A rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. All flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that’s like women too. I want to encourage women to embrace their own uniqueness.”

Phyllis says to embrace your own uniqueness as you are a very pretty lady in your own way.

She also says to remember, when in front of the camera you have to connect for that frame. You have to connect to the photographer and whoever views the image. You have to maintain that connection and must stay within that moment until the shot is complete.

And of course eat well to stay fit but always remember it is ok to have some meal worms to stay sane.

Are you saying you are rose and I am sunflower? Oh wait, Oh I think I get it. You are saying that as long as I have mealy worms everything will be great? Sounds splendy. Will tell my mommy.

And Ruth, the most prolific layer in the flock. She is a very messy drinker and grooms away her beard because she doesn't like it wet. I still think she is beautiful with her lovely cape of orange and black feathers:

Betty was given to me as supposedly a silver laced frizzled polish. To me it looks more like she has barring than lacing. Her neck also leads me to the barred conclusion as well. I can't tell if her or Sydney have the longer necks.

Yes you are looking at a super long thin neck. Betty uses it constantly to see the world. Sydney almost never uses hers. If she does, it is to steal food from Aurora and stay out of Aurora's reach for retaliation.

I checked in with the gang and noted Mr Pompeii calling any hens to a new nest site... Not sure why he would think on top of the nest box is a good place!

But Whiskers seemed interested...

Then next thing I know Mr Pompeii backed up, and in his egg-citment fell off the top of the nest box! Whiskers looked to see where he got to...

I burst out laughing - not sure what my coworkers think of me, but I sure needed a good laugh today.

Kinda sad day for the homeless people in town. Funding for a new housing building was denied by the government’s assistance plan. Now the motel is empty, and vacant. The occupants forced to leave the premises. Some things are just sad ! Treating people like stray animals isn’t right!

At least I have been nice to that troublesome neighbor. He had attempted to break into my house while I was gone (and was caught by the sheriff) now he’s enjoying a nice jail cell with room and board. Awaiting trial for several counts of contempt of court. Breaking and entering. And other charges I’m prosecuting him for the fullest extent of the law on charges. Law enforcement is using everything that they can protect me with. (Aren’t I a nice guy?)
