I think they are so adorable at that age! Only baby chicks are cuter.

They remind me of the Raptors in Jurassic Park.

Oh my I got stacked by 7 baby chicks. Sorry forgot my phone for pics. The sweet girl made her way to my shoulder. She used my boob for a step lol. They are in the fugly stage one girl just sits she is going through that mini molt and not liking it. She finally came out after I talked to her for a few minutes. Boy those little beaks are sharp! Oh they are so cute. I have loved seeing these babies everyday. In my head they are the yin yang babies all black and white cuties!

It's been two days since @BY Bob posted. Miss him. Hopefully he is just really busy.

I think it is very difficult to keep up with a full-time (probably f/t +) job, spend quality time with Mrs @BY Bob and the Chooks, AND keep up with this thread!

I do believe he was on for a short time today, as I got a reaction alert, but he may not have had time to post himself on FBA. Yes, I think we have all missed his presence, as he is ultimately what drew us all to this thread - he has steadfastly made this an extremely welcoming thread, and strives to improve others knowledge, help them learn, as opposed to berating people for not knowing.

As of 10 minutes ago I find myself with a problem I have not had in almost 2 years. Until tomorrow morning sometime, I do not have a single fresh egg. I have a whole dozen garbage eggs in the fridge . I have a few new egg customers. Of course, if I keep them as customers this gives me a reason to add more girls right?

Wow its so funny you said yin and yang I was going to name 2 of the girls that hang back together yin and yang! Such a done deal now. That was a sign.

Just checking my kiddos and had a laugh, they are all crammed together trying to fit on top of the nest boxes
Left to right on to of boxes

Blanche, Penelope, Misty (or maybe Whiskers), Sophia, Pompei, Rose.
In the nest box is Dorothy, beside her is Marty.
On the roost is Buttercup and over in the far right corner is Whiskers (or maybe Misty haha).

We can’t see Henny Penny, Fluffy and Curly. They are in the lower nest boxes.
