I give mine crumble but for breakfast, they expect it wet down. So every morning all the chickens get wet, soft food, and they love it!

Hmmmm, are you secretly Elvira or Morticia? I'm sensing an obsession with black....black cats, black chickens..... I"m SO GLAD you don't also have a 'black mood'



Seriously, though, you are right, the hen in the first picture is beautiful, but I'm a bit smitten with those in the last pic. Especially the gentleman who asked to peck and explore my leg before barging in!

Best place is in muskeg, which can be extremely deep and generally has sphagnum moss covering it (sittin on a pipeline project can be boring at times). And who is gonna find anything in a million square Km of muskeg!

Also tailing ponds, they will be around for 50 yrs or more. Highly toxic and this generally people avoid.

Or a nice deep pipeline excavation, which won’t be dug up for at least 40 or 50 years to replace- just make sure to keep body at least 2’ from the pipe so that when they run a pig through the sensors won’t detect anything

Bad Kelly! Spending too much time listening to the guys chatting on pipelines!

I REALLY shouldn’t contribute to this particular conversation given that I’m over 100 pages behind and it’s probably petered out by now but, pigs will eat anything and if you have a pig farm… just sayin’.

Quite possibly yes. I do find black cats and black chickens to be exceptionally beautiful.
But I agree - the small gentleman who asked to peck your leg is gorgeous too. I am just a pushover for a good looking chicken or cat!
