I would bet that Jaffar would go talk to Branch, and say “come on, let me buy you a beer (or meally worms) and let’s not worry about what those stupid humans think! , come on, I saved you a stool!”

Update: I took Jaffar inside with me. It’s thirsty Thursday night and for us, movie night!

The rest are safely inside the coop. I’m going to try to make phone calls to Florida now. I have room, if my family wants a place to stay temporarily.
