poor you! I (without the use of glasses) often end up running right into walls that I just don't remember being there, even though 2 seconds ago I could visibly see it.

who's that fluffy polish in the back. a rooster?
I think the worse part was my coworker who say it all - he was kind enough to ask if I was ok before bursting out laughing 😁

as @featherhead007 says that Mr P, I really lucked out with him. Quiet and attentive to the gals, he esp loves my silkie Marty who leads him all over the place ❤️ They are often seen side by side.

woah. there's some hard molt going on in your coop.
on the other hand, get some more pictures of her. you could enter her into the hardest molt contest. you have a good chance of getting 3rd or 2nd place (because I have noticed some completely featherless chickens around there).
Good heavens poor chickies! Poor Dorothy dropped all hers in less than 3 days! All except the one primary on each wing 😁

Those 2 are the ultimate power couple. I love that Marty has Mr. P wrapped around her wing feather.

She grooms him - grabs his head feathers and pulls hard hahaha he just looks at her 😊 then she will clean the feathers for him. Need to get photos or video of that.

I know it so cute it’s hilarious, they are kindred spirits - last night she was showing him where the food was - night before he was getting her treats 😁

I might let her sit some eggs next spring - bet they will be awesome parents.

Yes! Power couple - perfect description!
@Ponypoor - sorry for the ouch. I am completely blind without my specs so have walked into my fair share of walls, doorways etc.

oh my! I wish I had that good a chance for some no feathered hen pictures.
Oh dear no…. So hard on the poor kiddos, last year Sophia almost died she stopped eating hot all depressed I had to step in and feed her scrambled eggs for almost a month, it was so chilly here she had to stay in the feed room in the heat. This year poor Dorothy also had a week of scrambled eggs and treats to keep her eating. And time in the heated room.

Unless your in the tropics it’s terrible for them 😢

our chickens just start eating more when they molt. they will have molts at random times, but sometimes that random time is in winter. we have such a well insulated coop that many times I've had to take off my winter coat (which is nothing compared to their feather jackets) because otherwise I would be a wet mess when I got back inside!
the hardest thing probably for my hens, is trying to hide fromthe camera when they are in molt. you know, it's kinda' embarrassing for them :)
we have good birds.
