I don't know, it depends on where the scabs are. The first one looks like if the scabs are on the back half of the body, he might still be able to reach them, but I have never seen one of those in person to be sure.

That is one of my Jersey Giants. All the other littles are fully feathered, but the Jersey Giants still have pin feathers on their backs (basically, still naked on their back, but the wings mostly cover it, so it doesn't show well....only a little...in the pic.)

It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my beloved Daisy. I had no warning as honestly she has had a great month in truth. Today I saw her dust bathing, bullying her way to more then her fair share of dried cherries and picking on Twiggy. I went out at dark to make sure everyone was roosted and do a final egg check when I found Bubba snuggled up beside her. She was still warm so she could not have been gone long as I had went out back to dump out some leftovers a hour prior and she was scratching around. I have her body wrapped up and in a box and will bury her in the morning. I will admit to feeling angry and cheated that she was only 2 1/2 years old and not a high production breed, yet I've lost her to presumed tumor in her reproductive tract.
Rest in peace my sweet girl. I hope where you are now there endless minnows and young snakes for you to eat.

It's a damp foggy Monday here, making it hard to finish working on the barn's roof, but we don't really mind as we are very glad to get some rain.

I honestly don't know as I have never had to use one. The ones I usually see look more like this.
Cat's are pretty agile so I would worry the ones you showed us the cat would still be able to lick the problem area.
Of course the cat will hate it whichever one you get - so undignified! Just be prepared for a lot of complaining!
