Yes. Lovely wattles. I think this is my favorite picture of Foxy.

Yesterday she jumped on my lap so I was able to pat her. It is a luxury because she is big and fluffy with silky feathers. There was so much to pat.

She has been squatting for me so I think she is about to lay.

Notice one wattle has black scab at the bottom? I believe she got fowl pox recently. It was a big yellow puff at the bottom of her left wattle. It seems to be self-healing well.

Dakota has spoken her intentions:
She can’t sing or talk like those birds in the Enchanted Tiki Room. She’s frustrated with me for asking her to do so. She jumped up on my lap and pooped! (That means discontent in any language!)

Hello Fluffy Butt Acres, I hope the week starts well for all of you and your chickens ! We're having another incredibly warm sunny day here, and enjoying it even though we would really need some rain.

Monday mugs with uncooperative chickens. They are not happy we are messing around their home, as we've (finally !) began working on covering their run making holes and scattering clutter all around.

Piou-piou has reached a new awkward stage of growth. Her body has really grown the last three weeks but her head has stayed tiny, she looks pretty strange! I hope the head catches up now .

I find my gals go through phases, sometimes they are sociable, and other times they don’t want anything to do with me!

It is very quiet in my coop/run these days. Everyone is molting, nobody feels like eating, any running around is to chase someone lower than you and peck her.

They're going to get extra special snack tomorrow: salmon mixed with their regular mash snack. A couple of them, especially, need the protein.

I know right? She is just so awesome and hilarious, good thing Bob is a long way from me in another country I would be tempted to bring here to visit Mr P so I could get some eggs (oh don’t worry I would send her back hahahaha!). She is just such a lovely gal

I cannot make this stuff up. I’m constantly trying to get the upper hand on my chickens. They are smart, they are cunning, they are IMPOSSIBLE! (I’m losing the battle)
