It is very hard to watch for certain. Sydney just cut the cord. One day she was done and they were on their own. I'm certain the partial cut off must be harder for everyone.

It was more gradual with Henny and her chicks, she mama’Ed them for 3 months! And they just gradually did their own thing.

Now Rose is so mean to her mama! What a brat! But she has her own life now so guess that is how it goes.

They obviously do not have any chickens to keep them distracted from silly shilly-shally!

I vote more chickens (can I raise some

I would love to say that it’s my Newfoundlander heritage, but my sister alas couldn’t carry a tune if she needed to! But she is enthusiastic and that’s what counts!

I would just like to point out that my mother would clobber me if I treated like Rose treated her mama

Ok so I know that @micstrachan mentioned she was dealing with strange moulting patterns this year, and I seem to have the same thing going on.

Most of my gals did a moult in late summer, and now moulting again! But worse now, Sophia is just dropping feathers everywhere!

Is anyone else having strange moults?
