I missed if you cooked it a bit or did it just take them a lot of time to get used to it ?

They started eating it yesterday. I did bake it some last night to make it easier for them. They were excited to see it back this morning when I took it out.

No peanut butter or seeds were required to get them started. I'm hopeful I will have a carved face by Monday!

My younger chickens eat pumpkins, but my ex-batts don't (Vanille did love squash though). The younger chickens grew spending a lot of time on the compost pile so they have much more open taste than the ex-batts, who had never tasted anything other than commercial feed when we got them at three months.
