I have a dilemma. Rosie picked up a small order of shrimp last night and saved the tails for the chickens. Problem is, if you count chicks, I have over 30 chickens and only 6 shrimp tails. I'm thinking Branch needs to come inside for a special treat. He will not eat anything offered outside as he gives it to the hens and chicks. Sometimes he does his job too well and I think he needs some spoiling.
That sounds like a good decision to me. 👍👍

I got dried shrimp treats for chickens. Mine love shrimp. They are not at all interested in dried shrimp. They only like shrimp cooked for people.
Sigh.
Mine are the exact same way. Those dried shrimp treats have been kicking around the house for years. What a waste.

I need to make a small off topic complaint. I am sleep deprived, and really so is mom. Grandma is not sleeping much anymore due to the dementia. I think she has slept maybe 4 hours the last 3 days. For the past 2 weeks she has been like this. Several days no sleep then crashing for a day or two and then repeat the process. I've been told the insomnia is only going to get worse. Her dr tried to get her to agree to a prescription for a sleeping pill. She refused and said she had no trouble sleeping.

Get the prescription filled and slip them to her in some pudding or applesauce for her own good. Yours too.

I've had the same problem, it became a habit in a way due too no soundproofing and months of my neighbours movements all hours of the night and early morning. He tends to drop things over my ceiling, it's been hellish.

Last night I took Grifonia seeds in a capsule called clean 5-HTP, I finally went to sleep and sleep soundly. Please look into to this it's a natural way

May have to do what I do for Sally and put it in her feed 🥰

If the dr can prescribe a med that is liquid you can put it in a lovely dessert - and she wouldn’t be non the wiser

Her 'friend', surprisingly enough, stays in their box.....EXCEPT when I take gimpy girl out for therapy...then she doesn't like being alone and gets into trouble! Here she is escaping their box:

So, I thought they could both use a bit of time out of their Tiny Home, and brought her out after therapy session with Gimpy Girl:

Oh is this the baby with the open injury? She looks awesome?

I am getting everybody’s chickens all balled up!

I started calling mine, hey, you - yes you grey chicken, get over here….

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. I remember how hard it was when my father’s dementia started to get really bad. At some point you will need to discuss with the doctor having her declared incompetent to make her own medical decisions. Because even though she may be thinking clearly some of the time, it isn’t consistent enough to make sound decisions.

My father had Parkinson’s and managed to keep it from me for a few years. Once I found out I was worried about him driving because his reaction times were so slow. And the waitresses at his little small town Callie told me they said a prayer every time they saw him pulling in that he wouldn’t get hit making the turn and would stop before he drove into the restaurant. So I asked him if he was still supposed to be driving. His answer was “the doctor hasn’t said I can’t”. So I made sure I went to his next appointment, and asked the doctor point blank how much longer he would be able to drive. The doctor’s answer? “Oh he shouldn’t be driving at all any more, definitely not.” So either the doctor assumed he would no it wasn’t safe, or dad “forgot” that he wasn’t supposed to be driving. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Here the Dr physically takes your driver license, and if you refuse to give it over, they will notify the ministry 😢😢

Very sad, but there were a few high profile auto deaths that made this happen 😢😢😢😢
