Okay, so a 'sort of' coffee clatch Wednesday. (I don't drink coffee, nor have a spot where I can leisurely lounge with beverage & chickens in the morning - only when they free range...and no doing that before work - would NEVER get them all back into the run in time!! So, separate pics to meet the standards.

Morning Iced tea (yes even on a frosty morn!)

I love that last picture - submit to POW or caption or something.
Hope nobody gets wedged in the door!

That must be awful. I wish there was a cure for it, so many people get this.

I wake up with pain but I think it's more to do with being woken up by my neighbours movements at all hours. I can't be sure if it is now because I'm not hearing him as much as I did but it has gone on for so long that it has kind of broken my sleep pattern.

I used to love knowing I was going too sleep

:D Mr.P is such a character
Maybe ask your dr for some sleep aid the reset your internal clock.

Mr P has changed since I wormed him! This morning he was roaring stallion hahahaha

But he was naughty boy and grabbed Dorothy ripping out three of her feathers, guess she wasn’t doing something to his liking!

Meanwhile Marty NEVER gets punished or clobbered! She can do no wrong in his eyes 🥰 I think he also really like Henny Penny…

I was just thinking that! What happens if someone gets wedged in there!
We were. This has become a very talkative bunch.
yep for sure!

Question: has anyone had any parasite issues with internal parasites? I feel I waited way too long to worm. With the horses I worm a few times a year regularly.
An extremely cold morning and free hugs with Grandma and Parmesan. This morning is supposed to be 32 F! And today is supposed to be in the low 50s. Hug your animals because they give warm hugs.
Awwww 🥰

It was -2C (28F) when I did chores this morning and my hands and feet were froze! No snow here and it supposed to be a nice day though!

Going to my nieces to work her hens and ducks.

Yep I think his issue was the parasite load. I have also not seen any further stools with the intestinal shedding.

Makes me feel rotten I didn’t do this earlier 😟
This is a little gross, but I'm sure your chickens do the same. At least, I hope it is not just mine. I have never saw any signs of worms in my flock, or really and weird poops. A few runny ones here and there in the hot summer months when they are drinking more water but nothing out of the normal. And I'm weird, seeing as how I monitor the horses poop and amount it is 2nd nature to monitor the chickens. The gross aspect is my flock loves to scratch around and eat yummy bits found in the horses poop. The fresher the better for them....yuck. The boys are on a regular worming schedule. I have to wonder if by eating the horses poop, if they are getting a 2nd hand dose of the worm meds? I really need to look into and see if that is even possible. I will say though, if I sat and thought about every gross thing my flock loves, I would be like grandma and not eat anything but a store egg.

Thinking good thoughts for you both.
I think morning calcium and a gloved and lubed up finger in the morning followed by a nice warm soak.
If the glove is clean you should be ok in the infection front.
:hugs :hugs :hugs
You are not going to introduce infection with your finger. Wash your hands good before and after. Don't touch your face after until you have washed your hands.
There is no harm in using gloves but also no harm doing it without gloves, other than cleaning under your nail really well. All will be fine.

Use coconut oil as lubricant if you have it. If you feel an egg, paint along the edges of the shell with the coconut oil to provide lubrication so it can more easily slip out.
