O'Keefe for working hands is the best I've used. Always carry some in my truck and my travel bag.Aww, Kelly. Do you have a good hand salve with you? be sure to stay hydrated.
That’s because it’s one of Raven’s chicks! I wouldn’t expect anything less from it!I so wish I had my camera with me yesterday evening, but working up a deer in 28 degree weather it was honestly the last thing on my mind. I was also aggravated as both dogs and the entire flock of vultures were underfoot hoping for scraps. Mom ended up cutting up a piece into small chunks and tossed them for the chickens. Their inner velociraptor came out and they went crazy. One of Raven's brown chicks ended up having me in tears from laughing. It snatched one of the biggest pieces and proceeded to be chased by all the big girls. The piece was eventually stolen by one of the queens only to be snatched up again by the same chick when she dropped it to peck it. After it regained it's piece of meat the smart little chick ran to the hay pile and hopped, flew up 3 bales high before devouring it's prize. The inner child in me now wants to keep that chick and call it "Sharp Tooth".
Very true, she has taught them well. With her 3 brown chicks there is just enough color variation that I can tell them apart. If it is indeed a pullet that will be my 2nd keeper. If I do end up keeping it her until this morning unnamed blue chick has a name. I will call the blue one Ducky. That’s because it’s one of Raven’s chicks! I wouldn’t expect anything less from it!
I can see, “the land before time” has had an influence on your decision making!Very true, she has taught them well. If it’s pronounced “kapel” then why don’t they spell it like that? Crazy French knggits!Qu’Appelle Valley
The Qu’Appelle (pronounced kapel) river has created this amazing scar across Saskatchewan, it’s actually a popular destination for travellers, I have seen it in Spring and Summer and it’s lovely. Winter not so much but still dramatic m an otherwise flat land!

Yes, I’m on my phone, but I still have the emojis. I tried to use the app instead of Google Chrome yesterday, and it didn’t really help. Maybe today will be better!Poor Lucky. Hugs for you both.

Are you on your phone? As well as the quote issue have you also lost the BYC emojis? If so, I may know the problem and what to do about it.
Lucky is five and a half. She was from the group with Ruby, Cashew, Buttercup, Roxy and Little Mill. As you know, Ruby and Cashew are already gone.Oh no. I was afraid this is what we would hear. Remind me how old she is?
