Dear Aurora - my chickies all want to roost on the one special location, even though I went and made many wonderful spots for them to roost. Any suggestions?

I think maybe the questions should come from other chickens. Along with a photo for posting. I'm still mulling how to do this.

This would be great! Especially for my guys they are new to being chickens and have no one else to ask I will let them know about this resource so they can jot down their many questions!

I didn't name them. And I haven't tracked down a large population to ask. The chickens might know but until we start laying in mext year's wood supply, won't have any living ones to ask either......although might have a bit of language barrier there anyway...

I suspect that having their own kitchen may be less needed for the folk working the pipe as they probably would want to have food as soon as they are off duty. I certainly would.

“Working the pipe “ means something quite different where I’m at!

My crew would love and laugh at Aurora's no nonsense response. The grouches Butter and Momma hen might even think she sometimes comes off as too kind. As the old, and current flock leader those 2 girls understand the headaches of keeping a flock in line. They also firmly believe swift punishments if someone steps out of line.

You and Jaffar are in my thoughts, I know how special that rooster is to you. I hate to think this way, and I pray I am wrong. If his time is coming one thing is for certain. That rooster knows, and has known for a long time how much you love him. He has had a good and happy life with you and is a very lucky boy.

Dammit it’s not his time, yes he’s old, but I’m no way near time to let him go. Sorry I cursed you. I know that no one lives forever, but I’d rather die than him dying.
