I lThirsty Thursday
Diana went for the wild water again.
You can also put plastic up to your windows, I do that in the house with our big patio slider out back. I put plastic on the outside to keep drafts out, you can also put it inside (I have done this in my room where my north facing window it. It helps with condensation and drafts!
Both really good ideas but there is one thing condensation is good for... drawing.I use bubble wrap on the windows of the mud room.
Best way is to have it inside and bubbles facing the glass.
If you spritz the window with water the bubble wrap will stick to the window on its own.
It actually works quite well as an insulator - worth a couple of degrees in my mud room. And it still lets in the light.
Thanks! I was pretty pleased with it. I videoed on SloMo.I love that double gulp of water into her mouth!
Awww.I am officially disowning every chicken on the place besides Butter. Mom made me use a walking stick to get around to the backyard. Got me a chair and told me to sit and NOT move or she was locking me in my room. I had the bread treats, I called the chickens. None of them would come within 3 feet of me. NOT ONE OF THEM. Bubba looked at me and crowed, Twig danced around the back of my chair. Branch, I want to strangle him and turn him into soup. Mom tried to catch him and Rosie, he refused to be caught. I wanted to try to catch him but was dared to move, I think he may have let me walk up to him and pick him up. Butter finally after 20 minutes of calling came up to me and let me pick her up. She sat in my lap a few minutes then mom insisted I put her down. She was afraid if Butter tried to get down herself she would scratch my incisions through my clothes. I did get to do a head count and every chicken and chick are accounted for so that is good. It's gotten dark so I was sent inside and told to rest. Oh well, I got a hour of fresh air even if the chickens did not cooperate. I will not be able to go back out tomorrow, temperature is dropping and it is supposed to be raining again.
Mom thinks it is because of the way I was walking that I was scaring them. She is like, you really cant stand up straight and you have a walking stick. They are used to you walking right up to them. As hurt as I am over Branch, I cannot blame him. Mom never really tries to catch him, and he has always made Rosie work to catch him. I am the only one who can walk straight to him and pick him up. It sucks though that he would not even come and get a treat out of my hand.Awww.
Remember they are probably a bit disoriented by the change in routine. Chickens hate that! And to them you likely smell of hospital.
They will come around.
Plus that funny cane....they don't like changes to environment nor routine!Awww.
