That was 6 weeks. It felt like 2. Time is flying.Everyone is good, the grey ladies are molting silly girls…
They are not interested in going out at all! And today I am not feeling well, seem to have picked up a stomach bug travelling. So I have been staying inside, I might head out for a few minutes to check them but I am just not feeling that well to stay out there.
Mr P has been giving me the stranger look, guess he doesn’t remember me hahaha - sheesh I was only gone about 6 weeks!
Holy cow!Snow report: total in Nagaoka approximately 3 feet, at the rig it was over 4 feet. Had to spend Monday night at the rig but came back to the hotel at lunchtime Tuesday. Look at the amount of snow on the blue tank. View attachment 3354666
I was having the exact same thought! That was 6 weeks. It felt like 2. Time is flying.
What a wonderful looking Trio you all make! They look perfectly natural on you! You know, if you retake the picture, but you wearing a Holiday themed or colored shirt, it would make an absolutely wonderful Holiday Card to send! I know I would love getting one like this!Hey Everyone,

I find that terrifying. Imagine if the chickens had been free ranging. And the poor cat.Dog Drama @ the Hollow Rd Coop
Just got home with the kids from tractor supply and was putting up the obligatory light up Christmas Rooster I HAD to buy (It was half off) in the front yard and around the corner comes two loose dogs.
One black GSD and one brindle Pitbull they raced passed us and headed straight back to the coop after one of my cats. They then see the chickens and charged the run wall but failed to get in however they continued to circle my coop. Barking like mad. My chickens made a beeline for the roosts inside the coop at first sight of the dogs. I shut their door and walked inside and yelled hey wanna go for a car ride? The dogs followed me into my garage.
This is where they are now with food and water … we are waiting for animal control to show up as I called them immediately after shutting the garage door to contain them.![]()
As of 5:50am, it's -13F. Wind has died down, some (it's not sounding like a train hitting the house), but it's snowing....horizontally.Holy! got up to feed the fire, use the bathroom (loo). It makes one want to arm themselves so they can protect themselves and their animals. 1 animal control officer is not enough. Perhaps they could cross train some police officers. If those dogs are permanently loose other animals are going to lose their lives and who knows if a child won't pay the price at some point. It does here tooI had a friend who was an Animal control officer in Colorado Springs. He said that If you want to get a stray into a vehicle start with, do you wanna go for a car ride? In a cheery tone of voice, often they hopped right in the truck.
So I tried it and it worked they headed right to the car in the garage but animal control never showed up. So, I had to let em go they were ripping the foam off my garage door trying to get out. They ran up the road hopefully they will think twice about coming back here.
I tried to do the right thing and get them somewhere safe but there is one officer for our entire county and its huge. Disappointing but idk what else to do.
I found one of our cats but the one he took off after is still MIA. I cant find him anywherekeeping my fingers crossed he is just out hiding.
I agree, I feel for the dogs they are just doing what they do. The owners however…![]()
