Yesterday's photo shoot

Peanut and Hazel. Peanut's hairdo is quite interesting. She has an island of fluff up there making a little bump. When she raises and fluffs her head and neck feathers you can really see it but it happens too quickly to get a picture.

Here's a closer look at it. She was eating snow from my boots...

Butters being not very impressed. She is having a soft molt.

Hazel and Popcorn, transfixed by the flash on the camera which seems to be on. Popcorn usually won't stay that still.

Love your ladies!

Worth the wait!
I have been having nothing but problems here since Tuesday... I guess the kids are all home from school in the area and clogging the network with their surfing the net.... Sheesh! Go back to school already hahaha!

Still having issues posting photos :(

Snow is falling so you know what that means? Oh, and also, the temperature changed for Friday. Instead of marvelous 52 F weather, they're going to give me that 41 F. Oof.
I'm going to enter the Chilly Coop Contest contest again and decorate my coop.

More photos. Again, green font for funny captions.

I look very creepy. My eyes look like fish.

Two fluffy butts at work. Grandma is on the left.

Who's there? I don't have time for such games. I'm busy. Go away.
IMG_0835.jpg

What is this? Perhaps I should leave it alone.

This cat loves to explore. She found a feather.
IMG_0834.jpg

The sun is blinding me. But this is my favorite spot.
IMG_0785.jpg

I have a video of her chasing Tony's feather but I forgot to upload it so I'll do that later today.
Update: It stopped snowing but it is now raining and it is 35 F. This will sure be interesting and the weird thing is is that other areas like Shippensburg had a virtual learning day but cities like York didn't get any virtual learning. In fact, most schools closed with no virtual learning and not one area in South Central PA had any schools with a two hour delay.

That was great!

And I agree a good Roo is a blessing! But a bad one is a terror 🥺

I just watched Mr P grab a huge chunk of my toast and take off with it, I thought ‘oh good he is going to have some’.

Nope! He went behind a tree so I couldn’t see and he dropped it on the ground and called all the girls in the barn to come outside and have some!

It was at that moment I knew I had a good Roo. Oh I knew he was a good boy but I didn’t really see that he would give up his own food for the girls to have!

That is truly to Way of All Chickens - to live for the good of the flock 🥰
Never a doubt that Mr. Pompeii is a good rooster, but you did lose a piece of toast! :old

My sister just found out she now has to work both Christmas eve and Christmas Day so she brought over our Christmas gifts early. She now fully embraces the fact that I am the "crazy chicken lady" of the family. She is the "crazy cat lady" so she understands. I do not know how she came up with the egg apron idea. I never told her I wanted one. I've been trying to get grandma to make me one for awhile now and she always is doing projects for other people so I had given up. I tested it out with a Butter egg to see if my biggest eggs would fit, and they do and have plenty of room. I will wear it out with pride tomorrow when I take my tour around the house to gather eggs. She was upset that I already had the purple shirt and offered to take it back. I told her nope I'm keeping it, there is nothing wrong with having multiples of a favorite shirt.

Love that apron - asked mum to make one and she flatly refused! sheesh!

Meanwhile that Rooster looks a lot like Mr P on that purple top! :)
