Here's what I have. I used to take the battery out of the housing and use a trickle charger directly on the battery terminals, before a Premier rep reminded me a charger came with it...Yup. Not able to charge at all. It is a bit over two years old and I was cursing it going out so soon but maybe that is expected.
Sigh.
I don’t know how to charge it indoors - what would I use to connect it?

This charger (that I neglected was in the box with it) plugs into regular house AC. It's 14 volts DC, 2 amps.

Here's the trickle charger I used before. It's a useful thing to have around, DH has had it forever for different things and taught me how to use it.

I'm now going to look into taking the battery out for storage. I have lately recalled its not supposed to stay in the housing when not in use, also I think you're supposed to keep it charged every couple of months! Both epic. fails on my part. Hope I've not damaged the housing connections. I would keep it in case I set something up far from AC, but that's pretty unlikely, so it may be just back up, or I'll give it away if my farmer friends can use it, but I think a new battery would be needed anyway. The plug-in system I've got now has been so much better. Less maintenance and more strong steady zap, more reliable.
Thank you! My mom needed to show the roo who was boss because he attacked her.... he is fine with me though. I just walk all around with him and he is fineYour rooster is gorgeous! And I love your names .
