Glad we got you back in time to see the Thirsty Thursday Theo series - he is very lovely (if a little bit of a handful!).
For sure I have more than 2 photos. Did you see all the pictures and video clips in thipost (and the response to Aurora that it has a link to)?

Honestly I thought maybe I was overdoing the photos with all those including videos!

But now I have convinced myself that Babs has green legs and possibly Eli too - and I have to say that I think green legs is one of the coolest chicken things ever (it took many on this thread posting pictures to convince me it was even possible!), so now I am afraid you will all have to look at endless pictures to confirm what I think I am seeing!

I am sure. Not just photos but up close. Green legs! Oh my!View attachment 3367680View attachment 3367681View attachment 3367682View attachment 3367683View attachment 3367684
Those really are green legs! Maybe green eggs as well!

So I saw on facebook one of my cousins who I'm not really that close too complaining about the price of eggs in the store. I do know for them money is tight and she claimed on her post that eggs were a big part of her and her 1 1/2 year olds diet. I tried to be nice and mentioned to her I had a couple dozen eggs from my girls. I fully intended to give her the eggs. Yeah nope not happening now, she threw back in my face that fresh eggs are eww and gross and she would never eat them. Ok fine I'll let it go and keep my gross eggs. Next thing I know someone else who had been posting about egg prices locally messaged me about them. The eggs I was going to give away are sold and leave tomorrow afternoon. She also told my cousin she should not have looked a gift horse in the mouth and how could she call them gross if as it turns out she had never tried them.
Well I am glad you managed to sell the eggs, but I don’t even understand what she means by ‘fresh eggs’ - where does she think store eggs come from? Machines?

After reading more of her responses to other people I have came to the conclusion that she is just begging for attention and hoping someone will offer to buy her store eggs. She has done it before to get things donated to her by church members. I almost did not even respond but I looked at 3 dozen eggs on my counter and thought I would try to be nice. So far....no one has agreed to buy her eggs even though she finally flat out asked someone.

I think it was very kind of you to offer them to her and it seems you don’t need to do that again!

They will both most likely lay a pale green egg. Mom (DC) lays a pale brown egg, and I assume Dad has genes for Blue eggs. Some of their older 'siblings' hatched by my co-broodies are laying - and are laying anywhere from a deep olive to a lighter green. (They all had the same Dad, but different Moms, the pale green egg layer's mom was an Astralorp, which lays an egg just a hair darker brown than the DC girls. So, most likely Eli & Babs will lay pale green egg like hers, but could be a light brown, too.:idunno

I forgot about eggs to be honest!
I wonder how the dynamics will change if one or both of them start laying before Bernadette?!
It could get complicated.

Bernie stops for a quick refreshing sip before continuing the thirsty work of chasing Eli and Babs.
Happy Thirsty Thursday everyone.
