The photo isn’t really sharp enough to see but I would say either abscess or tumor.
Is it hot to touch? Does it cause her pain if you touch it? Does it feel solid or tight or just soft?
It’s soft and squishy. Doesn’t feel hot to the touch. I have touched it without her screaming at me, or biting me.

Time will fly by - just a bit a patience :)

And then let the babies begin!
Yah, first comes one baby, then another, and then the unplanned one comes along. Then the growing up, the babysitter $ the school costs $ and then the college fees (in my case child support and tuition fees) and.. oh, you are talking about chickens. Sorry my bad

How has your day been? I've not seen you all day!
Busy busy busy - we work 12hr shifts here 6 days a week. Makes the time go fast, today it was very chilly at -20C but sunny - I was going to go for a walk (as all the grizzly bears are hibernating now haha), but had meetings all day, on top of my work to do.

But I did get some time to check on the chickies - I missed the bed time drama again but that's ok - less stress for me (right @BY Bob ?).

Did a head count and I see 12 - Misty is once again hiding out of view of the camera - darn chicken!

Buttercup is roosting on the roost rather than in the nest box, and Curly is with Mr P (who is for once sleeping with his head tucked up).
