What is up with roosters kicking the feed dishes around? I remember when BEN would do the same thing (usually when he was upset) ? They acted like angry spoiled teenagers!

I put love because of what an awesome chicken tender you are. But I am sorry she is molting so late.

I say she does this on purpose because she has somehow managed to be a house chicken for a few days every so often starting from about the age of 8 months old. When she was injured and had to stay in for almost 2 weeks I think she got used to the good life of me waiting on her hand and foot. No more injuries thankfully, but she will find someway back in for a few days. I want to scream though. I have been buying feather fixer since the first week of November when my flock started molting. It is double the price of their layer feed. Tuesday I fed out the last of it and just bought 3 40lb bags of their layer feed. I really really do not want to have to pick up another bag of feather fixer. I can only find it in 40lb bags and every other chicken are long done molting.

Jaffar is deep inside under the porch. He didn’t stick around for pictures. ( He thinks I’m angry at him, and he might be right)

I would ground him, but he’s so short already, that grounding him wouldn’t do anything !

I got another pink egg today! I have 7 eggs in the incubator. Hades has pretty much mated every hen poor grls

There is nothing wrong with Butter's apatite. I will regret it later, but she just ate a entire can of tuna.

Im sorry to hear that. Is it possible that she is coming back into laying?

She doesn't look like it - but with longer days that is exactly what is worrying me.

I looked at FF feed it’s formulation and protein content is near identical to all flock but all flock is less expensive. Perhaps that could be an in-between?

Butter is determining if this "tv time" that Branch brags about is all it is cracked up to be. A bun snack instead of popcorn and Law and Order :SVU seems to be right down her alley. When she rejoins the flock she can tell Branch he was right and she approves.
