OK - SHRB (should have read back)I say she does this on purpose because she has somehow managed to be a house chicken for a few days every so often starting from about the age of 8 months old. When she was injured and had to stay in for almost 2 weeks I think she got used to the good life of me waiting on her hand and foot. No more injuries thankfully, but she will find someway back in for a few days. I want to scream though. I have been buying feather fixer since the first week of November when my flock started molting. It is double the price of their layer feed. Tuesday I fed out the last of it and just bought 3 40lb bags of their layer feed. I really really do not want to have to pick up another bag of feather fixer. I can only find it in 40lb bags and every other chicken are long done molting.

Wow that's early/late in the year to be molting - poor wee gal. But as you say if she is happy in the house - more power to her
