I was right underneath her giving Diana corn, and both Eli and Babs were making a hell of a racket.
Eli flew between rafters and I whipped out my phone just in time to catch Babs.
I totally missed Eli’s gymnastics and I missed both of them flying down to earth.
They are crazy chickens!

That shot is one in a million.

Diana survived the night. Her crop was empty this morning so she isn't blocked. Her poops overnight were a bit watery with good urates.
She ate a good lot of corn for breakfast but she isn't at all interested in being active.
I am going to make her some egg with sardines and some put some pine straw where she is choosing to hunker down so it feels a bit more cozy for her.
There was some hilarity from the young-uns while I was giving Diana her corn treat. I think they were expecting me to come up to the rafters with breakfast in bed!

I'm so happy she is eating! Maybe she is in pain? She is an older lady(certainly for her breed), would some pain meds be in order, or does she not act like she is in pain.? (Yes, I know, sometimes quite hard to tell with those darn chickens that try to hide illness/weakness! )

Hmmmm, I think Babs & Eli have a great idea there! I would love to be given breakfast in bed sometime

She ate a bit of that but seems to be more keen on blackberries and Kefir.
Still, at least I know she ate something!

Oooohh, kefir is good! May help any belly troubles, and has some protein (though not sure if she actually ate enough of it for that). And blackberries - yummy!

Well, this just goes to show how perfect of a Mom and a Palace you and your place are for them! Seems they are taking full advantage of all the Palace has to offer!

Just to compare with Sunday....

Mid afternoon snack consisted to newly revealed grass and any pea tree seeds hiding under the grass and melting snow, when it was a balmy 45F (not sure on C, but above 0 by several degrees).

I think your second picture is a good 'Winter on the Farm' photo!

It is hard to tell. It doesn't look like pain, it looks like exhaustion. She sleeps and then when the sun moves she gets up and follows the sun. And when I serve her a bowl she will perk up and eat. But she has not gone to the feeder at all. Lunch was tomatoes and she definitely enjoyed them scarfing down quite big pieces. So I am off to chop up more tomatoes and will go out again in an hour or so.
The closest I can describe is like a very elderly grandma sitting out on the porch and napping.
I am realistic, I think we are close to the end of her journey in life, but as long as she is interested in special food she will get it!

Had some time this morning, so cooked up a warm treat: lentils, old fashioned oats and rice. It's cold enough out that it's cooling quickly, but spread it outside in front of the boys doing sentinel duty. Those inside the coop missed out.

Whiskey is enjoying it, Cuckoo watching near by, shivering.

She's finally getting her feathers in and is choosing sunshine over warmth in the coop. And decided joining Whiskey in chowing down was a good thing.

Cheetah's neck is a mass of pins, so hoping the protein in the lentils will really help sprout the feathers.

Horus, Kren, Blanche, and Twirp all dove in also. A couple of others came out to join in as I was heading back inside.
