Sauce is started, crock pot is full. Spaghetti tonight, lasagna tomorrow, extra sauce to the freezer. Resupply shopping list is built. Coffee time.

I swear they were having a chat while enjoying the sun the other day

Thank you everyone for your kind words and hugs. I hope you don’t mind if I share some pictures and video of the lovely Diana. I am sure I have posted most of these before but it is a time to remember her in happy times and with her friends.

Sorry for so many photos! If I remember right Diana is also my PFM picture.

@RoyalChick I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing that you gave her a good life, and her passing was peaceful while surrounded by your love. Thank you for sharing her photos and her story with us. :hugs 💜

If I remember correctly Flour and the other white girl are Moss Eggers. I am not entirely sure of the makeup of the breed but I do remember they are at least half if not more Marans breeding.
You are probably right - I see that "F2B" Moss Eggers at lattigorancho speaks of breeding their Moss Egger back to Marans.
@RoyalChick thanks for asking, I too was carefully looking at the shape and comb & wattles (the lack) and trying to figure it out!
I got that little book just a couple days ago and have started through it. It is somewhat informative, but very limited for me in that I was hoping it would have a general guide of characteristics of a breed at least by body / tail shape and stance, which I think is really important in trying to even start figuring out what breed we're looking at. Like a flower guide might do. But I do love the pictures, and it does have bits of information.

Yes. The book is at my level. But I agree, I would like to graduate to a book that helped me understand body shape and stance etc.
I think I understand the difference in body shape between Orpingtons (Hattie) and Legbars (Glynda) but not much more.
If you find such a book let me know!

Book chat tax - Babs is so pretty (well I think so!)
