Silkies aren't the only ones with 5 toes. Houdans, Dorkings, Faverolles, and Sultans also have 5 toes.

Yup - But I still think she is half Silkie See all that fluff - ? definately Silkie....

Yes. The book is at my level. But I agree, I would like to graduate to a book that helped me understand body shape and stance etc.
I think I understand the difference in body shape between Orpingtons (Hattie) and Legbars (Glynda) but not much more.
If you find such a book let me know!

She took last Wednesday off, to help her human with installing a new roof on the coop

She was a bit late in writing up her column - she was busy being the Construction Manager on the Coop Build

I informed Russ yesterday that in a couple day's I'm hopping on his back. I do not think he believed me. Rosie informed me I was dreaming and not allowed to steal her horse.

I would send you Lulu - she is really bomb proof and 'falling tree' proof (a tree fell down behind her one day - all she did was twitch an ear! I about jumped out of the saddle ).

I hope he will look much like Bubba. those flag feathers are stunning, I do look forward to him growing those in. Roosters, in general, seem to get a bad rap but wow are they are stunning!

I would keep a whole barn of them if they wouldn't all fight and cause harm to one another!
