Thanks for asking. I recently had to drain her again, two months after the first draining. She had a couple not-so-great days, but seems better now. She seems to be getting thinner, but has her voice and is eating. I can’t wait for this sunny weekend when they get lots of ranging time!
That is good to hear. I also hope your crew gets some warm sunny optimal chickening days. :love

I wonder if she will lay before Bernadette does.
I have ceramic eggs in the nest boxes but nobody ever goes in there even to have a look.
Maybe Bernadette won't ever lay???🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ There are humans/women who can't ever get pregnant???? I don't know exactly how you feel about that, but she is a beautiful lady and clearly likes you by coming near and chatting/hanging around......I think it would be fine if she was just eye candy and a friend - as long as she is healthy. Just the opposite of the Princesses that came before!

Edit: I meant she may be the opposite in terms of laying:oops: -sorry I wasn't clear - your girls were all friendly and chatty and lovely.....

Oh I would be fine if she never laid as long as it wasn’t because she was sick or laying internally or something awful.
I have already told her that I fully support whatever choice she makes if she wants to be a career chicken.
