I almost forgot! Was talking to hubby about the new run I want to build this summer. I told him, 4' wide would do...we only have 4 chickens. He insisted we should make it bigger, in case we decide to get more! He never wanted chickens at all. He may be coming to the dark side.

Such a pretty chicken I want one.....oops there goes that chicken math again. I need to measure my coop and see how many chickens it holds. It was 40 sq feet now its double the size hehe.

On a more upbeat note: I have a lead on a few Blue partridge Brahma pullets from a local breeder. Super excited about the possibility.

Thats the max the min is 2 feet I have standard birds and they did fine with less.

Make it bigger the more room in a run the better. Im going to double the size of mine right now its 190 sq feet.

My hubby will only let me have part of the yard for chickens. But its still a big part because I have an extra large yard.

Alas, so do I. I had to get men's to get some that fit. They don't make cute chicken boots for men.

What hatchery? I already have a couple in mind, but I would like to look at a couple that are new to me.
