Welcome to the thread, lovely chicks. What is this broody Silky hen that everyone speaks of? I have 3 Silky hens, none have ever been broody. Easter egger mutts are a different story 😅
😂 I put eggs in my incubator because I had given up hope of her being broody, then about two days later I came out and there she is sitting on the eggs! Luckily, she took care of the chicks that hatched out of the incubator too.

Twofer Tuesday
From the coopcam, here is Babs politely asking Eli to get a move on as she also wants to use the nest box.

As im sure you can tell by now, Emily had no clue of what a personal bubble was. Either that or she didn’t care.

Also, Emily would sit on top of the other chickens when roosting. Who wants to get their feet dirty?
That is what Bernie did to Diana earlier on - she would just get on top of her until Diana moved aside and let Bernie have the spot she wanted to roost!

And here is the caption competition link. I have no idea why it is #7.
