You stop teasing poor Marty.More so for Marty I think!
That is hilarious!Move over!
Everyone wants to roost on top of the nest boxes - sheesh! It's not like there isn't enough room on the roosts, and the shelf, and all the nest boxes - noooo - they want to roost on top of them.... gahhhhh!
I am afraid to check now to see how it all settled.

Well looks like it's still a free for all in there, and Mr P has decided to hog the roost for himself. At least Fluffy and Curly are staying clear, hanging out by the wall. Good Girls!

I know it was me that introduced that idea but it honestly isn't working for me! I find them difficult to respond to unless they are all on the same theme or responding to the same person.Trying to do the multi quote thing-
Yes. This ^^Think about walking around in your netted areas given the height of the netting, too low will be a PITA. If you put beams across a five or six foot fence top that seems low to me, especially since netting sags.
Agree on driving - singing to them on the way home will be fun. I did full on biosecurity when I introduced Babs and Eli including wearing a tight cap over my hair and changing everything before going to the next group. But I only kept it up for 2 weeks and I did swabs to exclude most of he main pathogens which allowed me to feel more confident shortening quarantine. It was a pain though!I’d drive, as less risk, and probably stress to the birds, and it would be fun!
Quarantine - if you’re trying to do full bio security they say to change clothes and shoes and wash hands at least, probably showering is best, between flocks. Certain things can settle on your hair and then you spread it around. Would be very hard for me to really adhere to!
Oh that must be it. What a good friend she is!Babs is helping bathe Bernadette’s head!
Oh, little Peeps????? He is handsome, bet they are adorable!!!- But you said he doesn't get to mate the girls? Do you have another Roo, or did you get fertile eggs?Japanese bantam![]()
Oh that's so cute - more little 'Mr Peeps'Japanese bantam![]()
I am sure she likes it! Right now she is trying to decide whether to stay on her private terrace/roost, or launch herself down and strut around the Hen House. You stop teasing poor Marty.![]()
Yes on the one hand it's quite funny, but poor Curly was once again knocked to the floor - it's a long way down for a wee Silkie. She is back up on the roost last night, but Fluffy must be down on the bottom nest box laying an egg. That is hilarious!
hahaha - maybe he did my suggestion of facing downhillOh, little Peeps????? He is handsome, bet they are adorable!!!- But you said he doesn't get to mate the girls? Do you have another Roo, or did you get fertile eggs?
