She loves them. Later in the evening she got chocolate ice cream all over them and I had to scrub Bluey up. No way Bluey could be ruined.
Great coop by the way! Lots of ventilation. Might be chilly in winter, but the hens will love it in summer (assuming they're not eaten by then) :gig

Hmmmm. Not quite...

Spa Day for Sydney
I have really limited the times I interfere in a chicken's grooming. Unfortunately, something had to be done to help poor Sydney. Every egg she lays has been smeared with poop. Not only that, she has been pooping up every other egg in the nest box. So Sunday was determined to be spa day.

Now Sydney is basically untouchable, but you show her a Blueberry and she is right up next to you. A couple of blueberries and a flogging and I had her gathered up.

Of course there is the obligatory weigh in anytime I get my hands on one of them.

2.48 kg, 5.47 lbs

She is down a little from 2.69 kg 5.47 lbs at her last weigh in.

On to the sink.......

Thankfully Eve was here to help.

Then a towel dry and a little TV. Sydney seems to enjoy old westerns.

Then on to the blowout. Once again Eve was a huge help.

All in all a huge success!
Sydney is being *heroic* what a courageous hen!

I actually am loving 🥰 🥰 🥰 that the 4 of them are roosting somewhat peacefully together!

sad that Phyllis and Betty are each choosing to roost by themselves in their own hut. :(

I'm hoping that once the days get longer (really, nights shorter) Hattie will want to roost again...maybe she will have company? Though probably not Phyllis nor betty, huh??:fl:fl

Is Betty thinking about being broody///is that why she is out in the Hattie House??? Or is it just that Phyllis picks on her, so not in the cluckle hut...and Arora makes it too much of a challenge in FB house??:idunno:confused::idunno
I simply don't know. I don't watch and I don't care as long as they are happy wherever they are. They get to choose. There are plenty of safe places to roost now.
