Best I can tell is that Lety traded some of the Sebright youngsters for him. He was a total surprise as we already had 2 handsome bantam Roos. I applied for my visa for the UAE yesterday so I'll be heading out next week. Ready to start a pool on how many new chickens/breeds there's going to be when I return.
How long will you be gone, how many incubators do you have and how many eggs do they each hold? What is your current chicken count (reality, not chicken math rules)?

Could you "dome" her spot under the hay so you don't need to worry about her getting squished? Like the roof of that igloo shaped doghouse, but chicken sized?
Our hay is stacked up on plywood to keep it off the ground and to level it off where the yard slants. To reach it I have to lift up a piece of the plywood to gain access to her.

For cornmeal, apply twice daily to effected area with a spatula! :gig :lau
And here I thought the proper way to apply was by throwing it with your feet....like this...
