I love this. I have to wonder, for a Queen who has never went broody she sure knows a awful lot of "The way of broodyness". You better watch out By Bob, she may shock you one day and want chicks of her own. Chiquita also wants to inform Marty it is not her fault she had to pine and whine for chicks. Her evil human was not aware of what she was planning to do and collected and ate all her eggs so there were none to give to her.
Aurora is a career lady and fortunately EEs are not well known broodies. Knowing "The Way of the Chicken" does not mean being a broody. One can know a thing without being it.

:lau :lau :lau

I am glad I piddled before reading this hahaha - love the 'chicken up' part - that was epic!

And that video of Glynda taking on Eowyn - that was unexpected and hilarious! How is it I missed that video? I fear I am doomed now - there will be chickens running amok around the township!

Well done Queen Aurora, well done!
I'm glad you appreciated it. 😁

My gosh. I've never seen that before. Hopefully some else has.

I always want to see more than 1 weird poop before I get worried but that's new to me.
I now have 4 abnormal poops.
One before the photo one which was normal with white creamy stuff on top.
The monstrosity I posted.
And now two totally liquid ones.
She is drinking a lot. Everyone is because of the lovely wild water from melting snow but maybe her more than the others.
Could be she is dehydrated from producing icky liquid poos or a sign of something going on.
I hate that she sleeps 11’ up in the air so I can’t really feel her crop first thing. But she is absolutely not behaving like an I’ll chicken so I will chew on my nails anxiously and watch closely.

So every morning I have to go out and open the door for just Betty. She doesn't even get up until I open the door these days. She is living well.
Wow, private/personal butler! I think I would be sleeping in the cluckle hut, too, in that case! No Aurora, no Phyllis, no DRAMA, and you very own personal servant!:wee:wee:D

What's not to love??? :idunno :idunno

Mine do not eat any part of any pepper. Blech! 🤢

They also don't really eat raisins. Glynda will eat a couple. I bought a huge bag of raisins because everyone said chickens love them and mine won't eat them.
None of mine will eat broccoli. They are like George HW Bush. Can't stand the stuff.

And what is it with red pepper innards? Those look like they should be delicious but my Princesses strongly disagree.
:thOMG - you guys have either seriously finicky chickens, or seriously spoiled ones!:th Didn't you teach them to eat EVERYTHING on their plate when they were little???? Oh, whoops, that's for human children, not chicks!:D

Really, though - mine eat the broccoli 'buds' just fine, and if I chop the rest, eat those, seem to have no problem making sweet pepper innards disappear, and like raisins, too! (though, I have never fed raisins straight, only mixed with other things - like in the chop supplements, which I always add some of their powdered grain/feed with, too.):confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I know someone who has two Lavender Orphingtons, and one of them started eating eggs. Not all of her hens have even started laying, and one is already an egg eater!
Ceramic eggs can help. Once they wack their beaks a few times on an egg that won't crack they tend to be dissuaded.

Hello, I just joined BYC, under command of Pastel. She wanted me on the group, so I joined. I am on her event with her. I am looking forward to getting to know you all!
Welcome aboard. The FBA primer is a great place to start. You can find the link in my signature.
