I think Bernie is laying roughly every other day.

That's wonderful! You must be awash with eggs with the 3 of them laying now! I know I am over-run with them - mum gave the neighbour up the road a few dozen last week. He isn't working so she sent him some eggs.

Had to feed him inside to same his meal from the depredation of the snowbacked chicken. They only went inside when it started snowing again.

Your snow melted fast! Bet the chooks were happy to get back out! My mum said my gang tried to make a break for it today when she opened the barn door, we have a ton of snow now but it was so mild - I bet if they ran outside they would have run back in though with the snow on the ground.

When I get home I will finish the run so they can go outside even when I am not around.

I list mine on kijiji for sale. $5/dozen.

Those 10 pullets I am getting won’t start laying until Oct and both breeds are known to lay through the winter. So I guess I will have plenty of eggs to go around!

I must be getting used to these cold temps!!! I am hardly batting an eye at them now!

Wow that is good amount of eggs your gals are giving you, isn't it amazing how they lay a lovely egg every other day - who knew they laid so many eggs?!
