It's actually pretty safe if one decides to brood there...until we use the rest of the wood....and it's close to the house so I can keep an eye on whomever decides to brood there. I can even slide a 2x4 into it as a ramp for babies to get out if need be. Problem if the eggs explode.

There is absolutely no connection between a virus and any antibiotic. The overuse of antibiotics has nothing to do with Marek's or Newcastle's and you cannot treat either with antibiotics.

Yes. I wasn't very clear, sorry, thinking too vaguely and I was mixing issues together. I know that about viruses and antibiotics. It was more about the commercial practices in general having any affect or not.

The last thing was an association in my mind between measles/shingles and Marek's and Newcastle, viruses that affect nerves, and are very separate from any bacterial diseases.

Oh, phew! I thought you would know that and was scratching my head a bit.

Marek's does not always present neurological. It can also cause a lymphoma of sorts. I do not have all of my reference materials with me. PM me if you want to know more and I can respond when I'm back home with all my reference materials.

The mention of Mareks in Legertha's necropsy was due to the presence of what could have been Marek's presenting itself as a lymphoma.

And there is ocular Marek’s, cutaneous Marek’s and visceral Marek’s. It’s very complex. I wish I understood it better. I still wonder if the cancers in the tribe could be caused by Marek’s (tumors), but that has not been suggested in necropsy. Only Margo, who had no tumors, had a mention of Marek’s in her necropsy.

I wasnt doing good yesterday and stayed in bed except to check on the chicks. But Im feeling better this morning, calling stomach dr today.
