Twofer Tuesday Finally! I managed to get two together. Lousy picture. They insist on standing in my shadow (the witches hat shape in the shadow is the hood on my jacket) and I have been sitting here for ages trying to grab the moment when they aren’t all three together.
Eli laid again today without any fuss. I will weigh her egg later but it looks like a more reasonable size.

Hey at least you have green grass! My kiddos have been digging through dried leaves for heavens-know-what they can find as there it just no green grass anywhere - yet! In about a month's time I will be mowing grass 3 times a week I bet! Need goats....

Dakota has topped herself in her shenanigans. Jumping on my lap, spilling the contents of my snack container. She wanted that steak and she wanted it NOW! They all went for it but she couldn’t. I had to bring her inside the big coop to feed her. The wind here is atrocious but it did stop raining.

Yup. They are still roosting up high. Every now and then they roost with Bernie.
When Eli was egg bound and had trouble with her legs they roosted low (ie at 4.5’) and two nights ago Babs failed to get sufficient height and plummeted to earth so they roosted low that night too.
What you see in that picture is literally the one patch of green. I don’t understand why. It must have a sheltered micro-climate in some way. Everywhere else is dead leaves and dry scrub. Strange.
