Hmmm a lot of that going in these days - Featherhead007, and Marie had eggs like that also. I would say it's likely because they are just starting up after a break from laying - they need to get the factory back up and running...

Thoughts anyone else... ?
I see these occasionally from our oldest EE hen. I'm inclined to agree with you about them starting up after taking a break.

Worth trying. I would think they should be broody for at least a couple of weeks before the chicks arrive. Jessica turned up broody again when I moved Hector and his girls into the coop at 2-3 weeks old.
Well I put my phone in the box with Curly and she tried to bury it under her hahahaha - she has her egg, and what I am thinking in Henny Penny's egg under her.

Then, next thing I know Fluffy crawled in with her - she stole the phone and an egg hahaha.

At one point I wasn't too sure where Fluffy was, but she was still in there.

Now I just noted that Curly came out bawk bawk bawking.... leaving Fluffy in there with the phone chirping up a storm and 2 eggs.

It's a start, and it does give me hope that if I tried putting chicks under them they just might take them. Of course two silkies could never cover 10 chicks and possibly some from my other eggs.... So I gave Buttercup a talking to!

I cannot relay how upset I am. I am searching for an alternate means of sharing videos. This is going to devastate the history of this thread but I will not let them make a dime off of me now.

Once I have an alternate platform, should one exist, (I am hoping that Microsoft One Drive or Google Drive will work) I will reach out to the moderators to see if there is any way I can get access to edit the old posts with new video links.

If so then I will painstakingly replace each link. If not then I will have to do some kind of a reference link.

This is going to be a lot of work and likely means I will not be keeping up with the thread for weeks.

YouTube does need to get busy on those videos of soldiers dying in Ukraine that pop up all the time. If they push me one more video of a Russian tank exploding.......
So rediculous - what a bunch of idiots. Just really ticks me off - wonder if they will remove my video of Fluffy killing and eating that snake... oh I wonder did I post Fluffy and Curly duking it out last year? I must check - they will likely take that down also.

And yet they have crazy videos of roosters who crow so much they pass out and people think that is funny :he:he:he

That video is not you being malicious at all. This was a natural contest that you happened to be able to film. I am steamed and can’t say here what I think. I will say that the show that used to be Wild Kingdom wouldn’t stand a chance if subjected to the same idiocy.

It must be somebody on BYC feeling “triggered”, or it is a personal attack, as I don’t think this kind of YouTube channel gets attention except where it’s linked from. I wonder if we can organize folks on BYC to come to your defense on this?
I have been out on Youtube looking at 'cute videos' of cats and dogs dressed up like children - making my feeling felt on that - bet nothing will come of it though

They even think that horses slipping and falling in the field as funny - having had a horse break it's neck and die running and tripping and falling in the field I do not think it is funny. OMG - Such a nanny state we have become.... and yet we have the News showing horrible things - I really don't know what has come of this world lately.

I guess it is time for a Marshmallow update. They are doing marvelous and spend less time with Chiquita. Their primary stomping ground is the backyard. Chiquita never took them out to the front yard and so far they have never been bold enough to venture around the house. They to me are still small, but, I tell myself that is normal they are never going to be big chickens. While they still have their baby cheeps, I look at them now and see a mini comb less leghorn and not a random white chick. Anything they can fly up on, they will and it becomes their playground. The lawnmower and 4-wheeler parked out back are a favorite jungle gym. I can already see how our relationship is going to be and that they will never be lap and cuddle chickens. I am ok with that, I have those already. I can sit close to them, or they will come and gather around me when I sit down. They watch every move I make. Very nosey chicks. They will eat out of my hand as long as I do not try to touch or pick up. I can pet them at night once they are on the roost, no other time. While I am not allowed to touch them, if the mood strikes them they are allowed to touch me. And by that I mean if they want to use me as a spring board to go higher onto something they will. They have watched the other chickens defend the yard against evil trespassers. They now work as a unit to chase off any bird that dares to land around the back steps. These chicks are smart, super smart. I cannot be sad one bit that they are not wanting to be held all the time because I love watching the wheels in their brains turn. I've already been outsmarted when it comes to feeding time. That constant watching of me, they have learned where the feed is stored. They have also learned that when I feed everyone I leave the lid open until I am done. Why should they fight with the mob for those first few bites when all they have to do is wait 3 seconds for me to walk away. Hello entire bag of open feed all to themselves. Little devils. I will say it now while they are still young, if the world is ever taken over by chickens. You can bet there is a leghorn at the top calling all the shots.

That is when I usually see it. When production ramps up again. That and in older hens. Every egg Lilly laid the last 2 years was strange is some way.

I think I insulted Jaffar this morning. I was calling him some cute names, like little roo. Feather vested friend, handsome guy, but then I called him a rougarou , and he growled at me. I took him out to see his ladies. (I meant no offense but I guess he knows what a rougarou is. :idunno
Hmmmm - you have a lot of Metis where you are do you? :) No wonder - you called him a Shapeshifter :)

Maybe Rougarou has a more different meaning in the US?
