:eek:She named her after MARGARINE? (fake butter!!!:sick)
Who said I had to call it Blue Bonnet? Blue Bonnie or Bonnie is good. I need to do some serious thinking fast. Raven would probably take a few, but where she is sitting bothers me. She too chose on top of the hay dratted girl. I feel I should let her keep it plus another one maybe. 2 days ago she fixed herself her usual breakfast. 2 eggs, a english muffin and corn beef hash. 1 itty bitty problem. She only had one egg left. On her own she grabbed one of mine, fried it up and ate it. A few hours later she tells me my eggs are good and I about hit the floor.

Yes, the very one who ONLY eats white store bought eggs. Let's be real folks, at the moment, the leghorns are too young so I only personally have tiny white chiquita eggs and Momma hen eggs. She chose her own egg from one of the cartons I had on the counter, a big butter egg that is creamy colored. When she told me she ate it, I asked her how she liked it. She said it was good, followed by "I could not tell a difference between it and the store egg in taste." Ok, I will take that as a win if you could not tell me it tasted better. She did go on to say she was shocked at the size of the egg. My home grown egg was bigger then her store bought jumbo. She then informed me I was selling my eggs to cheap at 4 a dozen, clearly they should be 5 a dozen. If you know my grandmother, that is the biggest compliment she could give in her own way. She has made out a list for someone to go to the store, she needs a few more cans of corn beef hash and another thing of english muffins. You know what is not on her list, eggs!

My glucose readings have been very stable. I've had 2 times where I've ate something that sent my sugar a little high. A gas station pizza roll and then spahgetti. With the pizza roll I may have not correctly guessed the right amount of carbs in it. The spahgetti, I think I got the right amount of carbs, but with pasta it processes different in the body. a hour later after the initial insulin dose I had to give a correction dose as carbs from pasta take longer to process. All that being said, with the pump and not the shots I do not have to eat a set amount of carbs every day. Yesterday I was in range the entire 24 hour period, average glucose reading of 123 and only 70 carbs the entire day. On insulin I will always have to eat some carbohydrates, but I feel better not having to eat a lot of them to cover the insulin.

This post made me happy.

Happy Friday
Today we are celebrating Queen Lilly. These are from 2 years ago. Her bum was a little messy that day. That happened to her because it was too hard for her to tilt and poo with her arthritis.

"hearts" for both your Grandma and you! So delighted that your glucose readings are so good - I knew it would be a great benefit to you - I cannot be more thrilled.

And your Grandma is likely correct with the price of your eggs, maybe you should increase them. I was in the store the other day and eggs there ("free range" ones) were $7 a dozen. I am charging $5/Doz.

I also checked Duck Eggs - for 1/2 doz they were over $5. We are charging $5/doz for my nieces eggs.

I am trying to talk my cousin into taking the two ducks with her when she moves into the new house - it should be finished by July. That is 2 YEARS after it was supposed to be finished. My sister will likely sell her place, and RV it in the winter down south, she is making noise at wanting to stay HERE in the summer... my mum and I both burst out laughing at that - NEVER! She can visit but staying long term? nope. Anywhoooo - this will mean that the Chickens will need re-homing - guess where they will likely end up..... The chickens I am ok with - the ducks though, I am not set up for Ducks - Oh they are cute and funny, but they leave such a mess everywhere with water.
