Hahaha love it!Ok I am totally gullible, always have been. But it is true, folks with autodoors have been wanting a wifi remote-controlled door, in the way Arlo & Ring cameras have remote access, so one could turn them on, operate them, maybe speak through them, etc. It would be great when somebody doesn't make it into the coop in time some evening to be able to open and close the door for them remotely.
So I got a promotional email from Omlet about a new product called "RadioEgg Autodoor Kit" and it came with a video you can see in the email. When you click for more info you get the page below. Guess the date of the email?
The video is still pretty good though! It's there on the page -

Thank you. She is having a particularly bad day as she was not interested in dinner at all. I suspect she is working on passing the egg. We may bring her in to give her a bath.I hope she is okay. Unfortunately, that is not uncommon in the high production breeds. All I can say is give her extra calcium as you have been doing, and watch her closely. I don't know if hormone treatment is an option for you - if it is, now is the time to give it, as spring is a natural 'push them out as fast as you can' time, especially for those breeds. Also, if you recall, there was an article posted about a week ago that mentioned the effectiveness of using female birth control pills - it significantly slows them down. I don't remember for sure the combo that worked - I think it was the estrogen/progastrin combo, but I would have to try to find the article/research study link again to be sure. I had linked it for RC, so if you are good at searching this site/thread, I posted, linked the article & mentioned RC. Sometime within the last 2-3 weeks, as I found it and immediately thought of RC's Eli.
Sure hope Wendy feels better soon, she is such a pretty girl.Inky in all her glory

Poor Wendy is not doing well. She has been laying shell-less eggs. Calcium citrate pills don't seem to help. In the past, she always lays jumbo thin shelled eggs, but the last month she only laid maybe 2 solid eggs. :-(
She is only two years old. Today she is even lethargic.
That is wild! I have never heard mine do that. Very cool.Booked flight to China, paid $3000 for roundtrip, considered "cheap" because the route is going around the world: Wilmington NC -> Dallas -> Doha, Qatar -> China. Takes 33 hours to complete one way... I am going to love it...
Tax: A video of Light chirping before laying an egg. You want to turn up volume and listen. Does your chicken do this?
@ChicoryBlue This time I made the video private. Thanks for the information. I hope it's viewable.
Thanks. We are getting to the point where Bird Flu is getting to be very unlikely.Bob, my fingers, toes, arms and legs are crossed in hopes this has a positive outcome and resolves quickly.![]()

If by tomorrow evening they are remaining stable I would think that they don’t have AI. From all I read the progression is extremely fast - a day or less from first symptoms.Thanks. We are getting to the point where Bird Flu is getting to be very unlikely.
Oh yes that would be a lovely cross!Hen-Rietta has been sitting on one of her eggs for several hours now. I’m hoping she gets broody and has a chick or two.
A Cochin and Brown Leghorn cross would be a magnificent combo
