Ya know I havent had one broody hen :(
They are young yet. You might have one at some point. The first year I had DCs, I was hoping, and the didn't....until late July!!!! very late to go broody here. Now, she has gone late like that every year (silly girl!) She is the one who hatched 4 chicks the last week of Aug. last year. Patience.....they will do it (or not) when they are good and ready.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Is that the Math Majors mom?

3 days in and both Gryffyn and Goose are acting like old pro's at this broody business. Goose is a screamer but not a biter. Gryffyn is silent but deadly with that beak. I have not even had to throw them off the nest, they are getting off to eat and drink every 24 hours, good girls. Oh, and Gryffyn, 3 days in still has all 4 eggs, plus 2 extra that I have to remove daily.
That is all good news

You do realize that on hatchery websites, Lavender orpingtons are frequently higher priced and/or marked as sold out for the season. I don't think you'd have any problem rehoming those either.
True as well. I could be tempted to keep a polish though. Well an orpington as well.

It all depends on RC. 😆

No pressure.

Stupid insurance refused to cover my Hida scan for my gall bladder they are doing a peer-to-peer to try and get it covered. They said to go to hospital if I end up doing what I did last night. I will call an ambulance so I can get in faster. My tummy is sore but not in alot of pain
