Another new layer alert and holy smokes this one does not disappoint. Way to go Grackle. Now with a egg that dark she has me questioning if she is not indeed a pure Marans. I did give one of the girls a Holly egg, but I cannot remember for the life of me if Raven or Bunny had it. Grackle also looks identical to both Holly and her daughter Bunny.

Questions / comments that are answered don't require someone else answering. This causes a waste of time reading, and takes up space.

Hmmmm...is it REALLY chicken rustling if you just happen to drive up to the border....and the chicken just happens to escape from the vehicle...and there just happens to be someone nearby on the other side with a can of mealworms??

i mean, really, If I was a chicken and I heard a meal-worm can shaking, I think I would escape and run towards the noise....

Well that is the way around the problem. No law breaking there!

Thank you, I love it. It was laid yesterday, I hope to get another one just as pretty today. The only one yet to lay now is Ducky, and she is close. Very close to laying. You know, at one point in time Grackle was up for consideration for a road trip. Not anymore lol.

Those girls are very much missed on here. With all the new chicken talk have you considered adding any more of them?
