Ravens are easy better to have around than hawks. It would be great if they chose to live with you.2 roos (1 attempting to court and 1 enforcing "the girls said no")View attachment 3463230
2 birds: 1 courting, 1 asking if she needs to be more emphatic in her no (he got pecked, with feathers pulled)View attachment 3463231
View attachment 34632322 birds sunning, 1 keeping watch too.
Ravens have been circling about, looking for a good nest site. The boys (all of them) have been sounding the alarm about them. They sounded off and the girls headed for the trees when the turkey vulture swept in low (I was out with them). I went in search of the direction the vulture was headed. The ravens were on it and I caught glimpses of the dogfight. The vulture wanted NONE of it. I think the ravens are settling into the trees the red-tailed hawks like to use (good, the hawks will have to go elsewhere).
Nope. Try again?Acute?
