I have used those when they work the work very well. But they don’t always work depending on how the house and barn wiring was done.
Correct - both need to be on the same electrical circuit to work.

This is same as those baby monitors that use the power lines in you home. They need to be on the same circuit to work.

I feel so pleased. After 2 years and ten months, Bistro has decided that I can be trusted. :love

She has always been the most "alert" of the hens and let me know in no uncertain terms that she was not to be touched. I have mostly respected her wishes except for the occasional health and wellness check off the roost at night, although I mostly try to spend lots of time with the hens and observe them to evaluate their well-being.

This weekend, she suddenly started bravely hopping on my lap for a chat and visit. I feel so honoured. :love

Bistro from last summer. That area is currently still covered in snow.

Congratulations! What a great moment!

Gryffyns cochin egg has internally pipped. I listened a few minutes ago and heard cheeping! I have threatened Louis with his life if he decides to interfere with her. Why that hen decided to go broody in the corner of his stall I do not know. There must be something about that spot that I do not understand. Bunny when she has chicks has always wanted to sleep with them there after they are a few days old. I will say I do not fear of the coyote bothering her, it would have to be stupid to come in the horses stalls. I can see both Russ and Louis trying to stomp in into oblivion.
